The Town of Richmond, Maine is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Officer. These are full-time, career positions in a growing community of 3,400 residents. This non-supervisory position requires significant interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written, and use of radio, teletype, computers and the Enhanced 9-1-1 telephone system. Teamwork, an ability to work effectively under stress and with the public and strict attention to detail is essential. Direct entry of information into computers as received is necessary.

Good health, a high school diploma (or GED) and an exemplary background are required. Candidates must work well with the public and with public safety officials and organizations. The Part Time Youth Services Library Technical Assistant works along with the Children's Assistant and the Teen Services Assistant under the direct supervision of the Youth Services Librarian. The ideal candidate will: hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on communications, technology, child development or other degree work that supports the requirements of the position. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of library experience and/or experience working with children and have experience working in other service areas, including circulation, and be highly focused on establishing a welcoming and customer service oriented environment.

This is a non-union, part time position with 10 hours per week. Pay Level A - $12.72 - $14.03 per hour based on experience with the following schedule: Monday 10am-2pm, Wednesday 3pm - 6pm, and Saturday 9am - 12noon.
